Total Cost Involved

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL CHEVY K-10 PRO1 4X4
TOTAL COST INVOLVED ENGINEERING
totalcostinvolved.com

With more than 50 years of chassis design, Total Cost Involved (TCI) Engineering in Ontario, California, introduces a multi-functional 1963–1987 Chevy K-10 Pro1 4x4 chassis, designed for both off-road and daily driving. Utilizing TCI's Triple Wall Frame rails, it features 10-gauge plate steel and is fixture welded to the desired profile, including a front and rear four-link suspension. This product was developed with the assistance of Currie Enterprises and RockJock engineers. The Boxed Beam design places a third vertical wall down the middle of the frame rails, as the center beam provides improved torsional rigidity and strength while the widened front half of the frame creates additional steering and header clearance.

Conceived as a direct replacement, the Pro1 4x4 chassis is built around a late model LS/LT engine/trans platform. Utilizing a driver-side output Atlas transfer case, TCI's chassis offers customizable options to include axles, steering, suspension and drivetrain—including a Currie 44 front axle, Currie 60 rear axle, and RockJock high steer arms, and Fox shocks. Maximizing the link bars length, the minimal wheelbase change has the added benefit of limiting roll steer. Additionally, RockJocks supplied High Steer forged knuckles, outer tie-rods and bearing hubs. Steering angles and tie rod lengths were engineered to minimize bump steer and lateral movements.
